The Joy of Yoga
For centuries Yogis and Yoginis have walked before us, going deep inside to find postures (or in Sanskrit, asanas) that help us to deepen that union within us where the mind and body meet.
Working with the mind and body your entire being gets a work out, strengthening, lengthening and stimulating each and every organ allowing the energy in your body to flow more freely. This increased flow of energy can improve your health, flexibility and brain function offering you an increased sense of physical, mental and emotion well- being.
Yoga has the power to change your life and your body forever, transforming you into the person you really are in your essence and truth! Yoga helps to bring you into the moment where you can experience a heightened sense of peace and harmony, allowing you to let go of all that no longer serves you, bringing you closer to the REAL YOU that you have dreamed of!
Yoga is about finding the balance between yin and yang, male and female, being and doing, action and surrender, movement and stillness, expansion and constriction. Working with the breath, the postures help to keep you in the present. Your body and mind find a peaceful state of being, enabling your mind to relax and body to soften and sink deep into the stretch with an opportunity to experience the NOW.
My passion for yoga began at a young age. I always dreamed of being a yoga teacher! Fulfilling a lifelong dream, I spent years in India living my dream in quiet contemplation during meditation and sharing my passion for yoga with others. I have been inspired and guided by many yogis and yoginis who have crossed my path. I will always feel so grateful to them.
All the postures in yoga serve an important purpose to help stimulate the different organs, joints and muscles. I try and create classes that offer a full body workout and at the same time bringing a spiritual element and sense of awareness to each lesson, giving attention to all aspects of your being, physical, mental and spiritual.
I love bringing my experience and passion for meditation, pranayam (breathing exercises) and yoga together and share it with others in a style I have developed of my own, taking many things from different practices and teachings.
The classes are open to people of all levels who have a passion to learn yoga and go deeper into their journey of self-realization.
I an available to teach students of all ages and levels of experience and fitness and can tailor my classes to suit the needs of the students who come to me. I try and drop into the needs and prayers of each student every day, offering a unique style with my own personal touch!
I am available for different events, groups and retreats as well as personal tailor-made, one-on-one classes to help you reach your dreams and develop your own practice.
If you are looking into having a retreat in Costa Rica or needing some personal pampering and time out, and need a yoga teacher, then I would be honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of it.
I am available for retreats, workshops, yoga classes, personal groups and one-on-one sessions.
I offer a weekly class at Finca Ipe, Plantanillo, Costa Rica.
